Injector sizing
Hello again forumers! I was reading an article in an old "Fabulous Mustangs" magazine where they upgraded a stock 92 GT with gt40 heads, gt40 intake, 65mm throttle body, headers, full exhaust, and 1.72 rollers and they were getting 300hp at the crank. They mentioned having to upgrade the injectors to 24lb because it was running lean. They were still running smog and stock airbox
I'm trying to get my project car running properly but it still has the stock injectors. Most of the mods are in my sig but it's a 302 bored 60, typhoon intake w/75mm tb, e7's with alot of work (they flow as good as gt40's),1.7rollers, cai, bbk headers, and full offroad exhaust
I have bigger valves, a better flowing intake, and less accessories on my engine so I feel I should be making more power than that but I need to know what size injectors to go with. The online calculators show that around 320hp is the limit for 24lb injectors.

Well with an adj fpr you can use your 19`s with what you have! Add a couple pounds of pressure to make the injectors act bigger! You most likely arent at 85% anyway..
Had a 308 with a tfs intake, ecam, and head work back in the day and stock injectors and wasnt past there limit on stock pressure!
Definate answer go make 1 pull on a dyno for about 75$ somewhere and get all your answers.

i dont want to step on your toes, but i fail to see 100 hp in mods and your fine with 19 lb'ers so long as everything is working properly
i have run a few cars in the mid 12's with a 190 pump and 19 lb'ers
300hp = 19 lb
over 300-400= 24 lb
and im on the smack so if i go lean...i get hurt, hasnt failed me since 1995

The 19# are good for up to 400. I'd just recommend getting a adjustable fuel pressure regulator, then you're okay with just a h/c/i swap. If you start with NOS, or blower or turbo then you'd want to go up towards 36, 42. No need to spend money on things you don't need. Also 73mm MAF & 70mm TB = plenty enough for a h/c/i swap. I know because I have a custom cam, cobra intake w/ port work and gt-40p heads with work done to them and I run 19# injectors, adj fuel press reg, with a 70mm accufab and 73mm c&l maf.

that works fine for open loop operation/wot, kinda like a FMU on a s/c car, however when running in closed loop it'll see a rich condition and trim pulse width, the eec iv according to GFUB DOC has a =-/ 11-13 % correction factor for adaptive strategy.
