By that definition about 90% of this forum is riced out. Just about everyone has an appearance mod of some sort.

No, a ricer is someone who takes a relatively slow vehicle and adds tons of fake go fast bits then plays it off as a super fast car. In essence, someone who is intentfully misleading about their vehicle's performance.

OP, post pics.

Ill have Picts tomorrow. Rain ruined it this evening. As far as mods go.. I bought my 5.0 stock, the only thing the owner had done to it was put hood pins on it, which I didn't like at first but they're actually functional and a good conversation starter. Everyone always asks "what's that".

The scoop was the first "cheap" appearance mod I ever done to the car, besides some 5.0 badges off American muscle.

Gonna go ahead and say if its any hood scoop from autozone even "modded" it is going to look gayer than aids.

No? The Bio is old, I had 99 V6 a while back. I put the 5.0 badges on my sn95 Gt, which has a 5.0 in it.

I kinda mainly did it just to test the waters. There's a few GT's parting out around my area that have the hood scoop for sale. No way in hell I would drill holes into my hood before seeing what it would look like at first

I've always been in the camp that it's your car do what you want. Who cares what a bunch of dudes you dont know on a forum think? I get it, you wanted your car to look different on a shoe string budget. But you are misguided about what a hood scoup does. Anything that lets cold air into or forces the hot air out of the engine bay is going to help performance slightly.

I agree ^^^^

Cooler engine bay cooler engine cooler air
denser air charge . It is slight increase in performance ,

There's a ton of opinions being thrown around in this thread, I'm sure looks good! Definitely post up the pictures and I'll tell you my honest opinion.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a budget build!

Why didnt you just cut a garbage basket in half and paint it, probably would have looked just as good and saved you 100 bucks :P
