Default Replacing a bad fuse

I hooked up my car to a diagnostic computer. You know the little handheld machine that gives you a code if your check engine light comes on. Anyhow, after trying various times, it wouldn't establish a connection. I tried a different diagnostic computer and still wouldn't get a connection. I'm thinking its just a bad fuse. Does anyone know exactly the procedures on how to a replace one? I know the ODB port is under the steering wheel. If anyone has any videos or guides on how to replace a bad fuse there, let me Know please

prob is my friend, the obd 1 port is not under the steering wheel, sounds to me like you are trying to hook up to the obd 2 port that was present on sn-95 cars but was a dummy port on the 5.0 liter sn-95's, it's there because the v-6 equipped models were obd 2 compliant and both cars used the same interior harness. The obd 1 connector is out under the hood by the strut tower and you need a obd 1 capable scan tool that can run koeo/koer tests to pull codes or you can do such with a paper clip, google diy koer

Under your screen name it says your driving a 99 v6, if that's not connecting you have some issues. If its a v8 before 96 it will not connect as stated.

Wow no kidding huh? I honestly would have probably never guessed. I'll have to prop the hood up in a little bit and see If I can find it

Yep, it's at the back of the engine bay on the passenger side. There's a connection for it
