Well, here is what I suggest..

1) Have the lower intake ported (will look factory stock)
2) Put in larger injectors & a larger MAF
3) Install the blower and validate the A/F at WOT with a friends wideband (screwed into one of the stock 02 sensor ports). If its a 12.5 or lower you would probably be ok for the occasional blast. It would also be good if you could validate the MAF volts are not maxing out (5V) when still under 5,000rpms.
4) Get it tuned and never have to second guess it.

There is a possibility you'll run out of fuel pump trying to push more than 6psi.

I say go for it and then upgrade the pump if you have too.

If you're willing to pay 3k on a blower don't skimp on parts that will keep your engine from leaning out and burning pistons, fuel pump, rails and injectors, etc etc.

That's what I was thinking. If you got the money for a blower might as well throw in a few support mods to keep the engine healthy.

For a quick blast through the gears they are saying things would be fine and normal driving not compromised

and when you blow the motor from going lean and or detonate due to excessive spark, will that vortech rep be there to buy you a new motor??, Care to see what 10 psi did to my 306 that had 24's and a fmu??? And I had a 2 fuel pump system, I did a full pass with no timing pulled, my knee had accidentally rolled the boost retard back to 0.......lets just say it didn't end well. Vortech is in the business to sell units/kits, not warranty mishaps even when they said it wouldn't happen. Do it and beware, oh and yeah I could drive mine to with no issues on the street driving normal, but that kinda defeats the whole purpose of the s/c, have it but can't use it to its potential. Let me tell you, that philosophy sucks **** and has for the passed year while I wait for it to hit the dyno for a tune, oh and now it has 42's and larger maf and a new short block, I have yet to lay into it because it's not tuned. Remember if it's non intercooled, go lay into it when temps hit the 90's and see what happens when IAT'S sky rocket

Talking thanks

Great Feedback
this is why we have forums so people can get " real time " applications and experiance. Thanks to all. Going to save a bit more before embarking on a major mod.
