hey guys a i have a 86 5.0 my clutch is starting to slip bad and so im looking for a new clutch. right now my car is stock engine wise but in the next 6 months id like to start building my 306, now this engine i see to only have about 300 at the wheels. my question is since i have this new engine going in soonish should i get a stage 2 or stage 1 clutch. as of right now my stang is just my weekend nice weather car so its not really a daily driver. thanks

 

What manufacturers stage 1 or 2?

Since it's not a daily, I would err on the side of caution and over buy on clutch holding power and put up with the pedal effort. My thought is Centerforce 2.
