Default Charging system issues

Other day broke down with an apparent bad alternator issue
alternator tested good
changed the pigtails and still nothing
Big power wire has power
Yellow wire has power
Green /red no power
White black no power
Please help ,could it be a fusable link elsewhere like at starter???
A bit puzzled fuse 18 was checke and engine compartment fuses were also checked and seem ok

What does the alternator put out at idle and say 2000 RPM ?

And have you had the battery load tested ?

Other than that, check your cables for cuts, corrosion, and clean the grounds.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean the car broke down ? The car wouldn't crank over at all ? Or the motor would spin over but wouldn't start ?

Default Thanks

After chasing the wiring all day and double and triple checking it ended up being another bad and tested new alternator

Glad to hear you found the problem, but just goes to show, new or rebuilt doesn't mean it's good. I've had it happen to me more than once.

Thanks for the update.
