My wife and I recently bought a 2015 GT Coupe. We had issues with a perpetual musty smell, and brought the issue to both the Ford dealer and our trusted mechanics, and got nowhere. So we dropped it. However, we just returned from our honeymoon to find about an inch and a half of standing water in the driver side back foot well, as well as wet carpet extending to under the driver's seat.
My wife parks slightly uphill in our driveway, so I am thinking a drain tube somewhere is probably clogged and not letting the water escape. I took the driver door apart because she said she thought she heard sloshing water in the door, but the drains were clear.
My question for all the experts is: does anybody have the locations of all of the designated water drains on the 2015 Mustang? It is surprisingly hard to Google, and every forum post I stumble upon seems to be for 05-14 Mustangs.
If it's mainly wet under the dash (front foot wells) just remove the cowl under the exterior windshield. There are drains at the bottom of those in ALL cars. That's my guess.
Yeah if the front foot wells were wet, that would be my guess too. But, it is the area behind the driver seat in front of the back seat. I think the back left drain might be clogged somehow, but I don't even know where to look for it. I was hoping somebody would have a detailed list of where each drain tube is. Conveniently, that seems to be left out of the owner's manual, and I can only decipher so much from terrible pictures in other forums or Google Images.
