Default 5.0 Info

FYI -

As of right now, the 5.0 is rated around 340hp for the 2011 Mustang GT. If things change, I'll let you know.

The 5.0 is still on schedule for Feb.2010. Ford almost scrapped the project due to the new regulations. If all goes well, a new DI 5.0 will follow.

A new SE is coming. Hints say a Mach1 or Boss. I'll have more details later. There is even a chance it will be released prior to the new 5.0, so if that happens it will either be a 4.6 or 5.4.
Right now, it appears it will be in the 350-400hp range.

GRWD project is dead. The next generation Mustang will be on the same platform. Highly doubt you'll see IRS.

Thats all for now.

yeah sure, and who the F are you?

i have trouble believing the current rumors that are all over the net. why would i believe a word YOU say. you have one post and gave no credentials of who you are or why you'd know this info.

all the word so far points toward a 400hp 4v 5.0L. We'd all LOVE to know where your info that says it'll be 340hp.

i 25hp bump would be pathetic and still leave the mustang about 80hp behind the competition. i can't see ford making this mistake with a brand new engine

Yea, definitely BS. Ford isn't gonna introduce a whole new "from the ground up" motor just to give us a 25hp bump. They could achieve that with the current 4.6 for alot less development time and money. Plus there's no WAY a 32V 5.0 DOHC V8 in this day and age is gonna produce a miserly 340hp. Hell, a 3V 5.0 SOHC could produce more power than that.

Default 95 5.0

I just bought a 95 5.0 that needs work... it runs fine but will not go over 80 nor will it break traction even though it's a 5 speed manual... Anyone have any ideas?

Big Daddy, how did you stumble on this post?

You're in the wrong 5.0 section. Good luck fixing the issues. I do not have a answer for you.
