I can consistantly pop 2nd and 3rd since 200 now.
You might just be talking about the typical soft feel from the hydraulics. My 2007 did feel a bit firmer though. Hopefully that means they have upgraded the Slave Cylinder.

So far I have not heard of any other car experiencing the "pedal stuck on floor" issue.
As I stated it used to be an issue with F-Bodies and Vettes during my LS1 days.
Im hoping my car is the only one with the issue as it should mean an easy fix.

Have you taken it back to the dealer yet? If so, what did they say/do?

Gene- Any update? We delivered our first manual trans '11 GT yesterday. The customer was heading back with some paperwork and the clutch fried, smoke everywhere.

As much as I hate waiting for my car, I hope it is right when it gets here.

The first day it did it roughly 3 out of 7 times on the 1-2 shift (stuck to the floor). It has never done it on the 2-3.

I was out playing with it today to figure out how to replicate it for the dealer. So far no matter how hard I try I cant get it to do it. The clutch pedal also feels firmer (as noted by another poster above). I have no explanation for this.

Note Evolution torched their clutch in 12 passes. Of course a 10% increase in power, Taller than stock ET Drag Slicks, and very few break-in miles might not have helped. Mine hooks hard enough to break the tires loose on the 2-3 shift.

Think we should start campaingning for the recall to install the GT500 Dual Disc Clutch yet?

Default 5.0 clutch problem

Hi:

I am ready to buy a GT/CS sometime nextweek, but the clutch problem made me think twice now. Is this problem fairly common for 5.0 M6? Will I be able to find it out easily during the test drive? Should I wait for a GT/CS built after Agust 15 (Job 2)?

TIA

Joe

Gene,

It's not the slave that's causing your problem. It's the clutch pedal assembly.

I have had my 11 GT for about a month now and during all of my WOT "experiments" I haven't run across any of these clutch petal issues... I hope I don't cause I would hate to have to spend extra money on an already decently expensive car

If your cars aren't tuned and aren't shifting over 7000rpms than you're most likely not going to experience the pedal to the floor issue.

Ditto. 2400 miles in the first month and it's been fine.
