You said it yourself - different dyno, different result. Which is why they have the exact same car/gearing on the exact same dyno. The results are legit, several sources are showing massive gains from an intake/tune.

The Steeda intake looks impressive. However, we're back to the argument of how much the CAI makes with a tune above and beyond a tune alone.

Look at Diablo's (claimed) numbers; 22 rwhp at peak, with a maximum gain realized of 48 hp a little lower in the band. This was allegedly on a bone stock car. If true (and I have no reason to doubt them more than any other tuning company), this is extraordinary.

And that is more than anyone has claimed they get with a tune AND the CAI.

What to believe?

Couple questions for Steeda Gus,
I've ordered the CAI/SCT combo for my 2011 Mustang and I need to know if the Tuner is already loaded with the tune for this specific intake?

also I plan to add catted X-pipe and catback exhaust from Magnaflow and wonder if the tune from Steeda will work with this combination.I plan to get a custom tune down the road but if I dont need it now I will just load the Steeda tune and see how my car responds. Thanks for your help and I will post some pics/vids when I get my car and parts.I'm expecting my car within the next two weeks.

If you ordered it directly from us, yes the tuner will already come loaded.

While the tuning should handle the modifications you have, we could do a revised tune to better account for the modifications you will have.

Yes it will be a intake/tuner combo. We are still around 6 to 7 weeks from release.

Default cold air intake

Posted by intakesnexhaust - Cold Air Intake

CAI
+ Colder air; although it warms up a little as it goes up the tube
+ Adds a more aggressive sound
- More chance of hydrolock than SRI
- Throttle response is not a noticeable as a SRI (still there though)
- Need to remove bumper to install (this only applies to some cars) "
what about afe power, they seem to be priced about the same?
