Default just drove 5.0

i am just got back from driving the 5.0. I was kinda surprised with the sound though it was gonna be deeper and louder. The car was very quick though. Do they all sound like that my 08 GT i think sounds better but is a dog compared to that

I'm not letting you get away with a 3 sentence description of driving a new 5.0. I haven't even seen one yet, so pony up more info!

the car is very quick the 6 speed shifts really nice little hard to get used to at frist though but works real nice i though around 3500 rpm it really feels like a beast. The ride feels like my mustang. The only beef i have with the whole car is the sounds does not rumble and not as deep as my 08. Was a white GT preium Sticker was 34,700 and ford took off 500 and 1.9% for 72 months not a bad deal I am tempted to get one

I *just* finished driving one too.

Eh...not that impressed. :?

Maybe it was because I drove one with 3.15 gears and mine is a modded 4.6L with 3.73 gears and a Brenspeed tune?

I dunno. But it didn't *feel* any faster than mine according to the butt dyno. The only time I really noticed it was when I was trying to floor it on the freeway and was already going a pretty good speed. 80-100 is pretty nice with the new 5.0. But...is that difference worth like $20k?

I really thought that with all these reviews everywhere touting the new 5.0 as the next big thing that it would really be more of a night and day difference in regards to power. Maybe I was expecting too much?

Also, I thought this sound induction tube was the bees knees? The interior of the cabin is WAAAAAY quieter than my '08. Do convertibles not have that sound induction tube?

And the interior was supposed to be a major upgrade? I don't know. Seems pretty much the same as the '08 as far as comfort.

I dunno. I really wanted to be wowed and impressed and ...everything fell short? Maybe if I drive one with the 3.73 gear ratio? Maybe I've just been spoiled with the Brenspeed tune and the 3.73 gears?

I'm sad that I wasn't wowed by the new 2011. But these are my thoughts. :/

The interior looks nicer, but is basically the same layout as 05 and up. It's immensly quieter inside though in the 10 and 11. I'm waiting tillmy local dealer gets a 6spd in and then i am going to driv eit. all they have are auto v6's. i will say this, you have to really get into it to feel the 10 with teh blower realyl go. Maybe you didn't get into it hard enough??

I have a '10 GT if I did not have my GT I would have moved on the 2011 6 banger, drove that, they are going to be a flea on a dog giving a 2010 4.6 a run for the money, that is a great car, lighter, 6 speed, 14 " brembos, pipes even appear bigger than the 5.0. impressed aboutb 6 of us. especially a MCA edition with the HIDS shelbly type looking front end with low fog lights. under 30K...what?

For the money, and performance the v6 is almost imo the better way to go. Spend the difference in cost for mod's and your v6 would be just as fast or even faster more or less.

I think the 1.9 for 72 is only on the '10s. The '11s dont have that quite good of a rate yet through ford. My '11 is supposed to be here this week and it's either 4.9 for 60 or 6.9 for 72 through ford.
