Default Noob CAI question

Hi all: Since my car already has a CAI, is an aftermarket CAI unit going to make that much difference? My driving is all street/freeway. Track of any kind is highly unlikely. Is a good street tune sufficient? BTW, cost is not an issue at all...I would just like to keep the engine as stock as possible. Has anyone with an auto 2011 GT compared just tune to tune + CAI? What is the best auto tune?
Thanks in advance!

I assume you mean the stock air box as your current CAI? You can technically look up the actual HP and TQ gains by using just a tune and using a CAI and tune. To me, since money is tight right now, I decided to just go with a tuner and enjoy that rather than having to wait longer for the combo packages sold. I think for the most part, you're going to be happy with just a tune, but if you want a little extra, then CAI and Tune is the only way to go.

Also, some great places to get an auto tune would be American Muscle and Brenspeed, both are repuatable around here for their tuning services. I personally went American Muscle though

You can find a ton of stuff on this topic. If I remember right and just pulling numbers out of my rear Steeda claims to give you a little over 40hp with the CAI and tune. For around $700 that is a pretty dang good deal in my opinion. People also claim much better throttle response etc. This will for sure be my next mod, just waiting a little longer to pick which one I want.
