Default 2011 5.0 performance Parts

Hi, what would be the best course of action getting a new 5.0 into the 11 sec range not including NOS? Any specific type of CAM, Intake, Headers, Tune or Gears....I will appreciate any advice.

Just gonna at least start in on this. A good custom tune from AM or Brenspeed would be a start, mate that with one of their intakes (any will do really). Depending on what gears you have, I'd suggest some 3.73s or 4.10s depending on what you'd prefer. LT Headers would also be a good addition along with a more free flowing exhaust setup. Oh and can't forget some sticky tires.

11 seconds is a very high goal to shoot for, and all of the above suggestions are great, but I would not say you cannot stress enough to get the best/stickiest tires you can. Obviously if you are looking to run at the strip only to get into the 11's, you have more of a choice of what to use. But tires, in general, can be one of the most important 'mods' you can do to a car.

A 2011 was put into the 10s, MMFF magazine, I would say do every thing but the NOS. For sure 4.30s and a set of 26 X 10 slicks would be a good start, and mabey a set of race struts.

Ok thanks.....I'm in the process of deciding what to buy 5.0 or SS.......so far it's looking easier and cheaper to accomplish this on the SS.

P.S. I've always been a stang person....5 stangs and 2 camaros in the past.

Steeda put theirs in the 11's with minimal mods, good tires, and a good driver.

I ran 12.21 w/ some crappy, worn out drag radials on a not very well prepped track. None of the suspension mods in my sig were on the car at the time.

Here is the thread that the AM guys posted themselves concerning that car, an auto tranny at that!
Before any nitrous, they were already hitting 11's consistently.

When looking at everything.....the 5.0 is the better / technical car. The only problem is learning how to work on it. The SS 6.2 is basically the same basic V8 for the past 60 years....I could do that for the most part blind folded. The new coyote 5.0 is wicked bad *** modern, but I don't see any reason to open it up. The cams (no need to change) seem to be intimidating and the waterpump appears odd.....shouldn't be a problem.

What I'm seeing is to install Stainless steel exhaust, 4.10, Rousch 525 hp supercharger, SCT or Steeda or Livenois tune, 2 inch lowering kit and a set of rims. That should be in the 11's with 26" slicks.
