1) rotation of tires. THe owners manual says each rear to front on same side and then each front goes to back on opposite side. Is this how everyone does it. I thought you were not supposed to switch sides.

2) Do you guys change out the air intake on the new 2011s? If so, what results do you get? how much more HP? What is best type to get? K&N?

congrats on the the new car. i havent had mine long enough to need to rotate the tires yet, but i always just went strait front to back on all my other cars with steel belted radial tires and havent had a problem. as for the cold air intake, it comes down to you there are a lot of good intakes on the market those that need a tune and those that dont. i just ordered the ford racing K&N drop in to get me buy until i can get the money to get a C&L and tuner.

1) Depends on your tires. Are the directional?

2) Use the search option. Lots of info about intakes here. Personally, I will be getting the Steeda CAI.

Right. If they are directional, you can only swap front and back.

If they aren't directional, I move my fronts to the back...and then move my backs to the opposite side front. (same effect as manual). Modern tires can be rotated from side to side with no bad effects...so you should be good!

As for CAI, there is a lot of info and dyno charts out there on this forum and others. There are several good ones....JLT, Steeda, AirRaid, C&L just to name a few. Just remember some CAIs require a retune and some don't. Buy one accordingly.

Hope this helps.

I can tell you K&N drop in filters are useless, the K&N air intake systems provide marginal gains compared to any other intake system i've seen. don't waste your time or money with them. They made a name for themselves and then haven't bothered with engineering anything with any quality since.

The steeda CAI looks good because it will directly mount to the boss 302 intake manifold w/o any modification, unlike JLT, but I haven't seen reports on all CAI systems yet.

Most people go to an aftermarket cai. Only downside is most require a tune.
