The 2011 I took for a test drive was quite dirty inside. The floor mats were in the trunk rather than in the car. The door sills were scuffed from people stepping in and out of the vehicle. How many people drove this car before I did and how did they drive it? I didn't ***** foot it during my short test drive.
After the test drive I quickly came to the conclusion that I would rather order one.

Im gonna buy off the lot. I dont care if someone drove the car hard prior to me. Im gonna drive just as hard if not worse! Besides, you still get a warranty. So if something is wrong they gotta fix it. I will never purchase new anymore. The dang cars lose 10 grand it seems as soon as they leave the lot! I think I will let someone else take that financial hit in the pocket!

Ordered, hands down. Unless they come up with a crazy incentive, and the car looks, rides and sounds right. There is always the 3 year factory warranty to consider!

When I got my 06 I ordered it, saved me 5G's from the cheapest GT I could find on any lot and had the same options!

I had the pick of 10 500's down in the dealer basement and they had exactly what I wanted so win win. The odo was at 2.6 miles so no test drivers on mine

I have done both. I do find better dealing with one on the lot most of the time. I have also ordered and the dealer has called and said we found one just as you ordered....should we get it? I looked it over and bought it. I ordered a '96 Cougar XR-7....waited 8 weeks more than the normal 2 months.....found out it was missing the center caps for the wheels. Once I raised the roof....they found the caps the next day. This '11 GT/CS was on the lot, a few miles, but just as I wanted it except for the CS option......wife liked that part a lot so we got it.

Final line is if you like it, buy it, otherwise order what you want and be ready to wait a bit. Either way, it is what makes you feel comfortable as everyone has their own opinion.

I bought mine off the lot. It had 11 miles on it and was optioned out exactly as I wanted it. Getting it the same day and for almost 6k off made it a very simple decision for me.

If you can find one exactly as you want it just buy it off the lot, in my experience dealerships will give you more of a discount if you buy off the lot, the dealership here told me they'd charge me full MSRP if I ordered one. (I get x-plan pricing though so i got it below invoice)

6k off the sticker off the lot. In fact, the car was delivered that same day with about 5 miles on it...

id probly just buy off the lot like some have said if they have what I want. Im trying to find a premium GT for MSRP, the cheapest one ive found so far is like $5k over MSRP without anything added.
