Default Does anyone w/ a 2011 GT 6Spd NOT have the grinding problem?

Hi,

First post and I'm a little freaked out. I'm about to take delivery of a 2011 and just found all these long forum threads about this issue and ford not doing much to fix it. I could potentially buy the 2012 instead or maybe just not buy it at all.

Is everyone w/ the manual 5.0 having this issue or are some of you not having any trouble? Any idea what % of cars have it?

I don't want to spend 33k on a car that's gonna give me nothing but headaches! Part of the reason I want it is because how nicely it shifted when i test drove it!

Damn I hate when manufacturers don't stand behind their products!

Thanks for any help!

With just over 5000 miles since Nov 29th, I have no issues with the tranny. Some hot rodding....no track time...... Crossing my fingers now that I mention it.....lol

Little Notchy... no grinding. Had a Mini with a Getrag... notchiness similar to that so I'm cool with it.

my car had a problem with the clutch once, never had a grinding problem though, something that comes in to mind that I will get flamed for I'm sure as I brought this up before and was called a dumbass, but alot of the guys with the grinding problem where guys that where powershifting there cars and braggin about how fast it was when they did it in other threads, when I brought up itll be bad for the tranny I got shot down

well look what happened

Power Shifting a Tranny is bad. However its not gonna screw it up right away. It takes alot to finally start seeing any side effects from it. I Power shifted my stock 06 5spd tranny on my GT that numerous mods every friday-saturday night at the races(in mexico ;-) ) & never had a problem for over a year. When the car came up stolen it was still strong. No slip at all. Now How much longer did the tranny have before problems is another debate. lol

Some rough shifting every now and then for me, but no grindage. The only grinding I get is if I am stupid and try to throw it into gear before I have the clutch all the way depressed.
