Default Supercharger Install Question

I was hoping to get the FRPP 525HP Supercharger because of the one year warranty. I just got off the phone with Downs Ford. They told me it's a 19-20 hour job due to the need to modify the cover. Does anyone know about that or have a link about that? I can't see spending $2000 labor.

I just got off the phone with JDM Engineering. The 2011's require cutting away part of the timing cover and the some OEM bolts. They charge about $1200 for the install. I'd like to hear from anyone that's gone with Whipple or Roush about their experience.

I have a whipple supercharger with a high output kit, the extra kit is definitely worth it. CJ Pony Parts in PA installed it, the labor was $1050... the total cost was a bit over 7k probably the best investment I ever made.

What a great idea! I called them after I saw this post and talked about having them do the install. I'm thinking about taking a trip there and having them do it while I bounce around PA. The difference in labor cost between them and most places around NYC pays for the trip. How was your experience with them? It looks like alot of things have to be removed and put back on to do the install. Did it look like a clean install?

Not sure if whipple has a 2011 in addition to his 2007, but if not, the installs could be quite a bit different.

Evolution Performance near Philly was $800 for install + $500 for a dyno/tune session and Jon Lund does the tunes.

Good to know. How happy were you with the installation? Any unexpected damage to the vehicle?
