op, your problem is that you said you lost a job and need to sell it. that makes the asshats that think you are going to get the car repossessed come out and offer you pennies. remove that lost job need to sell bit and put that low ballers need not call. FWIW, you need to be looking at selling it for what the KBB is on the car. Most people care nothing for mods, but you never know who you will find that really wants the car.

Wow, yup. $28k is definitely fair. How the hell did the OP come up with $45k and why did they pay $1700 for a 3.73 swap. That was over $1k of pure waste. Damn, this is going to be one hell of a lesson learned for them. My condolences.

It is rare to get back most of what went into the car with modifications, though. That is just part of the car biz.
