Very true. It was more involved.
The cams often give some problems with RPMs, even surges if it is not
tuned just right. Also, my car seemed to be VERY finicky when it came to the tune, even the tuner that fixed it commented about that.
Most of the time, remote tunes are GREAT for the general bolt-ons.
When you start getting into modifying internals or adding boost, every car is different and should be thoroughly datalogged if not dyno-tuned. A remote tune should get it VERY close to 100%, but datalogging or dyno-tuning will help get those types of mods running 110%.
I'm glad you were able to get yours straightened out. Your second tuner must have been good/known what they were doing!
