Default Time for exhaust

Hey guys, I'm looking for some exhaust ideas for my new 2012 Mustang 5.0. I've narrowed down to Roush, GT500, or Flomaster. Ive watched videos of them bit still cant decide. Take note that it is my daily driver and i drive 40 miles of interstate every day. Im not sure which ones will put out bad drone in 6th gear. Im looking at only axlebacks. Any input is appreciated.

There is a thread comparing the Roush and the GT500 on this page. check it out, it will be helpful. I bought my GT500 based on the feedback of that thread.

Wow how did I miss that... On another note how hard is it to change them out myself? I have 2 jack stands but we have a sloped driveway. Is it basically bolt off bolt on? I would have the dealer do it with the Roush exhaust but they want $600. Yeah right....

If you want to hear pure aggression go with roush, if you want to hear a little rumble then go with the gt-500's...I have the Roush set and at 1st the sound shocks you, but after a while you get addicted to it...

Agreed with above. Cruising with the gt500s is not noticeable, it only picks up, as any car does, when under load. I installed them in about 1 slightly frustrating but well spent hour. I used a floor jack about 2 inches of lift to get enough clearance. Since your on a hill go invest in a cheap set of ramps and back it up the driveway.

GT500's are what I went with and am very happy I did! Absolutely no drone and quiet at cruising, sound awesome when getting on the throttle especially in the city!!!!!!

I've been very happy with the Roush exhaust. Loud and aggressive under load but quiet while cruising and no drone at all.

I am an SLP fan myself, however they do drone on freeway.

As far as the installtion goes, I started mine myself but there are 2 bolts directly above the factory resonators that are very tight to get to, I didnt have the ratchet size needed so I threw a couple back on there and took it to a local exhaust shop. They charged me 50 bucks.

If you're referring to the exhaust hanger, there is no need to take that off. The resonators slide out of there very easily with lubrication such as WD-40. I got mine in and out with no lube

Front Hanger:

Rear hanger:

Fun tip: I've heard that if you don't have anything better on hand, tire shine will work well as lube to get these in/out.
