Default Burning Smell

yes I know this topic has come up before.
I have 4800 miles on my car and I am still getting that strange burning smell inside the cabin after +5 second spirited runs. Is anyone with similar mileage getting the same smell? Anyone with more mileage not getting it?

I had that happen to me on my 06 GT 5-spd after I accidentally hit the rev limiter in 2nd gear. I am pretty sure I know the smell you are talking about and I posted on here (don't remember what the responses were...) but don't seem to recall it being anything serious.

I have 11K miles on my 2011 GT 6-spd and have not had that happen since I bought it new in February. I have been more careful and have driven pretty conservatively though.

I get the smell under the same conditions. Have 8500 miles on mine. First oil change as I type.

Thanks man! and the splitter honestly completes the front IMO. Without the splitter it didnt looks as aggressive

I know what running rich smells like, I have a 65 with a 4 barrel. This is nothing like that.

From the sound of everyones responses it is a smell that eventually goes away, no definitive mileage on when that date is.

I just bought a 2012 GT and I've been smelling the same thing. I've got roughly 3000 miles on mine and I only smell it when I get on it. Seems to be a pattern here

Still no real answer on what the cause may be? Just curious as it doesn't appear to be a problem and is caused when "getting on it"...
