No smell since changing my oil last week. I honestly think mine was low on oil and that's where my faint ticking noise came from. Keeping a closer eye on it now.

No I get the ticking noise and I've been monitoring my oil every 500mi since new. Its effing weird though cause 1 day itll be there and one day it wont. A friend of mine who I just met that had a 5.0, said the SAME EXACT thing. One day its there and one day it isnt.

I just installed roush axlebacks and am paying to much attention to them now though =D

i know what u mean about the roush axlebacks. i love hearing mine every day. loud and obnoxious when u get on it and have a good rumble cruising. but my tick started about 6k miles and was upon cold starts mostly and only lasted for a few secs no longer than 30 secs. did it when i was pulling it into the the shop where i work to change the oil and hasnt done it since i changed the oil. (knock on wood). sounded like a low on oil tick and i wanted to suck the oil out of the motor and see how much came out but the tech that didnt said it was easier to just get it from the pan since he was under there to get the filter out. new land rovers with the 5.0 motors sucked the oil sucked out from the top of the motor and then replace back to full with quarts not bulk oil. i will try this soon if it starts ticking again. i want to see if its burning oil.. its def not leaking. i check that weekly.
