Talking gettin the mod itch again.....

Ok guys I tried to tell myself that this 12 stock is fast enough for me. Being it is 100bhp more than my 08 but that lasted all of 6months and the itch is back. Lol. Oh well. Thinkin c&l Cai and need help on who's tunes. Pros and cons of bama and brenspeed. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

I know BAMA warranties against #8's going boom

I'd go with them if it were me.

I made all my purchases from brenspeed for my gt. I gotta tell you those guys have excellent service and they are on point. Did my steeda cai, pypes super system, and the 93 race tune at the same time and I will tell you the car screamed..it was total bad ***. Contacts name at brenspeed is chandler he's a cool dude. I had a rough experience with american muscle but its probably isolated, never hear to much bad about those guys.

Thanks guys for the responses. I've done business with AM before abd nothing but good things to say aboyt them. Just never owned eithers tunes. I know bama warranties the whole #8 thing but really asking to hear what users think about brenspeeds tunes.

I am in the same boat as you and have done a ton of research on tuning. The absolute BEST tuners out there for these cars are AED tuning, Amazon tuning, and Steeda. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with other tunes, but none of the 3 I mention have had any blown motor issues or anything like that. Yes bama offers a warranty for #8, but they were the ones who blew the MOST #8's due to advancing the timing too much.

Both AED and Amazon DO NOT add timing at all this way you dont risk blowing your motor, and instead they get all their power from the Tivct settings. Also both Amazon and AED make you datalog both BEFORE and AFTER you upload the tune this way they can make the tune perfect and make sure your car is running 100% perfectly.

A good thing about steeda, is they too have no blown motor issues and they work extremely close with ford on engineering all new parts and know these motors very well. They are also the first to be offering a lopey idle tune for the auto transmission cars starting next month, so that should say something about them knowing their ****.

Hope all this helps!!

I think im def gettin the steeds Cai. Love the look and yes grabberblue they work close with Ford when developing new products. And I'm either gettin email tunes from am or brenspeed. Don't trust amazon tunes. Maybe safe but who's tuning them and how much knowledge do they have on mustangs. Bama and brenspeed tune nothing but stangs. Could always get a dynotune from Joe at dynospeed in Memphis.

No worries. Why I asked the question. I haven't read any bad reviews about the c&l and I had the racer on my 08 gt. Loved it. Had it for 4yrs. The steeda intake just uses a lot of the factory stuff and i like that.
