My brother and I installed the headers. They were a PITA (pain in the a$$) to install. The instructions were garbage. It took the entire weekend to put on, I didn't get it off the stand until 2AM on Monday. You have to remove motor mounts, starter, steering rod, and altenator (instructions don't say anything about the altenator). The instructions told us that the headers would be installed from the bottom but we ended up putting the drivers side on from the top (why we took off the altenator).I priced it out to a couple of shops aroudn town and most of them wanted $75-$90 an hour to install them. If I ever had to install them again I will pay someone to do it. I'm VERY happy with the headers though, now that they are on the car and not in the box. She sounds mean.. she is mean I'v got the SLP axle back on right now but I think I'm going to change to the roush cat back and put a set of mid pipe mufflers on her. Taking her to the track tonight, so far I've got the JLT CAI, Long Tubes, SLP axle back, and a 93 race tune from Bama. Anxious to see what it'll do.

Damn did you do headers on jack stands??? Damn you are the man that is awful. Around where I live most people want in the 600-650 range to install headers..it is a big job on this car. Sounds like a great setup my man

We did the work on jack stands, and honestly I think it would be easier that way. You aren't standing up and working over your head, instead you are working above your chest. I took her to the track last night and she ran a 13.30 at 114 MPH. Had a reaction time of .040 so I'm kinda dissapointed, but I was on street tires and i was spiining all the way through third. Was my first time to ever run a car on the drag strip too. The temp outside was about 53 degrees so the track wasnt all that great either. I'll be ordering a set of wheels and tires for her REAL soon. Supposedly what some of the guys are saying at the track my car is capable of a low 12 seconds, so maybe I can get her there.

No need for a a CAI, they don't any any quantifiable amount of power to these cars. It's all in the tune.

I was dissapointed in the 13.30 that I ran. I'm happy with the reaction time. I'm actually going to take my car and have it dyno'd and tuned. There's a place a couple hours south of where I live that deals with just Mustangs, so I will probably take it there.

Just do your research on the shop first... I took my car to two "Mustang only shops" and neither of them knew that 4th gear wasn't 1:1 in these cars. Many of the old-school 4.6/pushrod 5.0 shops are clueless about the Coyote platform.
