Question Question for 3.73 owners with the 275/40R19 tires

Hi Guys,
I will like to know how your 3.73 performs with the 275/40R19 upgrade compared to stock setup?. I'm planning to go that way but will like some feedback.

I'm confused, don't you already have 3.73 gears and 275/40R19 tires? Based on your sig, I think you do.

I'm running 275/45x18 Conti DW's on my supercharged 6MT with 3.73's. They are are the same diameter as the 19's you're asking about and I like them a lot for street use. Easy to drive, quiet at cruise, all good.

JAJ. That sounds Great!.
First I will install the 275/40R19 in the rear (Michelin Pilot Super Sport), and later I might install all 4 on that size, depending how I feel the car staggered or prefer to go back to non staggered.

Hey, How did you decide on the Pilot SS's? I am getting to "that point" with my stock Brembo tires, and need to decide what I replace them with...

I heard that some get vibrations with that setup. I want to go that way too.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport was recommended as the best summer sport tire by Car and Driver, Tire rack & Consumer Reports. They where compared to other tires in the track on dry and wet conditions.

At first I did not knew if I was going with the 275/ 35 or the 40 aspect ration. But I learned from several fellow Mustang owners, that the 35 aspect ratio with my 3.73 gears, was going to leave useless my first gear. Since that tire is very light and small for that gear. Condition that I prefeer to skip. Did not find nothing wrong with the 275/40R19. Only good comments, and that is the wider tire than can go safely on our Brembo 9 X19 wheels.
Hope that this helps.

At first I will start with staggered, but since I don't like an understeering handling condition that will increase, without a bigger rear swaybar replacement, probably I will go with the same tires front & rear.

Apparently bigger tires on front might have tramlining on some irregular roads.
In my case, I don't think that this size might be a big concern for me.

So I went to Discount Tire today. $371 each! Are you crazy!? Lol. I wanted a cheaper option to the OE tires, and the super sports are not it. Back to the drawing board.
