CAT codes after headers
I installed a set of Kooks headers and hi-flow cats on the boss over the weekend and got codes p0420 and p0430. Do I need to get a tune to fix this or are there MIL eliminators I can run? Im running the trackey so its dumping fuel and I suppose the aftermarket cats cant handle it. I dont want to cut the harness and install resistors.
Be nice if I could just turn off the sensors while keeping the trackey tune running. From what ive read the problem came from when I got stuck in traffic idling for about 5 minutes. Just too much fuel was dumped and the cats couldnt keep up. Ive also heard that with Jason Lund's ghost cam tune you're not supposed to run cats. I really want them there for emissions BS and to help quiet down the side pipes a bit.
Anyone used those "3 custom tunes" that come with the tuner from American Muscle?

The only test we have to pass here is a visual check and then a readiness code check. My 5.0 doesnt have emissions parts. I didnt want to have the hassle of trying to inspect the boss like I have had with the 5.0.
Not to mention I was hoping the hi-flows would keep me from having to have it tuned for the rear o2s. On my brother's car he ran MIL eliminators for a while and then had it tuned. He spent $600 for a tune years ago. I didnt want that expense but I guess its turning into a domino effect.
