cold start issue?
hey fellas -
when I fire my car up, it sounds like something is slightly stuck. I am hearing some metal to metal sound that I can't really classify. it's somewhat knock sounding, but it sounds like it's not as deep and a little more audible.
a quick, gentle rev, anytime after starting up, and it goes away, seems like whatever is stuck, is unstuck, at that point. it can be a second after starting it up it 20 seconds after starting up, it always clears it.
if I start it up, and just let it naturally idle, it will eventually stop by itself, after ~30 seconds or so (when the idle naturally settles down after warming up slightly)
any thoughts/ideas on the cause? I could attempt to get a recording if it would be helpful. it's very easy to hear it in the garage.

well, good news. I started it with the hood raised (durr), and it sounds like it's coming from further down the system .. little beyond the headers/cats. weird. metal to metal sounds can be very deceiving.
