Anybody notice the 5.0 has a sort of well "choppy" sound to the exhaust note?
My former 4.6L 'Stang did not have that, the exhaust pulses sounded more even. Overall a better sounding v8 IMO. (but less powerful of course)
I think I might have read somewhere that it's because Ford changed the firing order for the new 5.0, and it's the same as what the old flat-head Ford motors had?
I just added the Boss quad exhaust to my 5.0, and while it sounds great overall, I think the choppiness is even more noticable now.
I bet an X-pipe would resolve this, but I tried an X on my 4.6, and it sounded like crap to me...

Try a H pipe or some long tube headers.. Ive also noticed that. I kinda like the 4.6 sound over the 5.0. Although the 5.0 sounds meaner.
