i think it would beneficial to get it tuned but you if do pro cal tune you would have to do it through ford, buy it have dealer install it and what not. or you could get a tune from americanmuscle.com or breenspeed and load it yourself and have better gains and overall better driving experience choice is yours. bonus with american muscle you get 3 different tunes too choose from and free updates for life!

You don't need to have a dealer install the procal tune. You can load it yourself.

But then you lose the benefit of the warranty.

Default procal

I bought mine through the dealer. Went to dealer and paid and they installed the air filter. The procal was sent to my home. Dealer ordered it and gave all necessary information. Since I did this and loading it is as simple as 1,2,3,
they told me when I get it I could just load it myself and no worries about warranty issues as all would be okay. I do know them well as I have bought three cars from them. So I loaded it when I got it.
I have a 2013 with an auto. The car is totally awesome now. Love it.

Only thing I would do from here on out would be to install the new Corba Jet racing manifold but there is no tune for it or CAI for it through ford so unless that happens I wont be doing that.

And to be honest this car has so much power now that any more is truly a waste of money. It would be for only to talk about and show at car shows, cruise nights. It would not be because it is not fast enough.

Procal is well worth the money.

The warranty comes from Ford Racing, not the dealer.

For the warranty to be in effect you have to have an authorized dealer do the loading of the tune and then you or the dealer have to send in (emal, U.S. mail or fax) the proof of purchase of the tune from an authorized Ford Racing dealer and the receipt or what Ford calls the RO to Ford Racing then they shoot you back an email stating you are registered.

Here is the written warranty

Here is the email responce to me from Ford Racing after I sent in the documents
Thank you for the documents. Your vehicle is now registered for the Ford Racing limited warranty.

Thank you,
