Warm up time?
Thanks again for all the help! I usually don't have room to beat up on it, max speed of 30mph for not very far. Ill keep doing what I have been doing, start the car a few minutes before I go to work, then drive it nice til I get there and turn it off.

First, you're in Tx and even freezing isn't cold.
Today's engines and oils don't require a warmup, per se. The time it takes you to fasten your seatbelt after you start the engine is all that's required.
Personally, you're nutz driving 1, even 2 miles, with the Stang. Walk or ride a bike.

No amount of idling before a 1-2 mile drive can be good for the car. If anything, you're adding more condensation to your crankcase (that can't burn off w/o a proper heatup of 10-12 miles of steady driving) then if you just hop in and drive off. If you don't believe me, check the underside of your oil cap for baby poop colored crap after about 1,000-2,000 miles.
Mapitts, I've used my heater and A/C on the same trip from Marshall County to Madison County. Alabama weather is ridiculous...
