Default 5.0 muffler delete

I have a pypes bomb muffler delete coming in and I was wondering if anyone knew what the car sounded like with the mufflers just straight taken off and the exhaust dumped over the axles? I know it might sound crappy but in preperation of recieving the exhaust i was just going to remove the mufflers. Any comments?

Well IIRC there are only two spots that provide support for your exhaust, the exhaust manifolds, and the mufflers. So if you take out the mufflers you won't be able to drive it.

probably sounds decent if you keep the cats and resonators

but yea ^ the hangers are above and usually attached to the mufflers, youd have to have pipes back there with hangers welded on

I ran w/out mufflers for quite a while. Sounded AWESOME....except for the DS pipe bouncing off of one of the suspension supports. CLANK CLANK CLANK on EVERY little bump and until it warmed up. Once on the road, it was pure SEX to listen to. I'm going to be doing straight pipes soon just b/c it sounded so awesome. Forget my neighbors. They HATED it.

I am running without mufflers on mine and the Mrs' '13 GT. A buddy of mine welded some hangers at his muffler shop. I like the sound until I decided exactly which way I wanna go for exhaust. We are always asked what kind of exhaust we have....we just kinda smile and say, "low budget muffler delete system". LOL

you can drive it...it's just stupid loud when you get on it in any way and will draw the attention of everyone in a couple mile radius, just like the Pype Bombs will.

I find this kind of immature, frankly but, to each his own.

It's actually not that loud. The resonators and cats quiet it down pretty well. I like the "immature" part, though.

At idle it isn't really all THAT loud. Above 4K on the highway or going through the 895 or 95 tunnels in Baltimore....yeah....it's LOUD. It's wake the dead and get attention from the po-po loud.

You stay off it it ain't so loud, at least on the inside, that's true. Outside, if you get on it at all, it'll bellow like a bugle charge and it's the biggest heat score in the neighborhood. Go for it, if that's what you like, since we're driving such innocuous, subtle and unassuming cars as it is.....

Haha I'm getting straight pipes fitted on now and using the stock tips that way it still looks good! And no bounce since it will have hangers too. I live in Oklahoma where sound doesn't matter and screw the police they can't do anything about it anyway. Ill post a video later or try to at least.
