Go ahead and get the tubular radiator support as well, shave a few more pounds. Also consider getting a roll cage instead of the subframe connectors, though I don't know how DD friendly you want it to be. Also will those skinnies fit the brembo package?

If I get the tubular K member I will probably get the tubular radiator support as well. Why a rollcage instead of subframe connectors? I want to DD the car and the subframe connectors will do wonders to stiffen the chassis. When I am going fast enough to need a rollbar I will put one in, but not a cage. I have a fully caged Honda CRX and it is a pita to get in and out of. Not very DD friendly...

Yeah the skinnies are 17s up front and fit over brembos.

If you run the cage parallel to the door opening along the a pillar your still getting a lot of benefit and it doesnt block off access, cept for the back but i'm assuming your yanking the seats out anyway. Just omit the bar going across the doorway. Reason i say that is you'll get more stiffness from the cage for only marginally more weight than you would with the subframe connectors. The frames of these cars aren't that flexible and the effect of the cage will be more pronounced than the sub frame connectors. Huh, surprised about the 17's. Why did you go brembo if you were intending on serious drag racing anyway?

Well I am not looking for a caged car. Maybe a 4 point roll-bar or even a 6 with removable door bars. I want to be able to DD it if I want without a single problem. why are you surprised that 17 inch wheels will cover the brakes. they aren't that big! and I chose the brembo because I had a non brembo before and regretted it. the bite of the brembo breaks is insanely better as is the handling because of the sport mode you can put the car into with the TCS.

Just surprised is all, the put 19 inch ones on there for stock wheels and people have problems finding aftermarket wheels to fit them.

huh I had never heard of anyone having problems. Yeah my 11 GT I had before had the stock 18s but plenty of room. its really the backspacing that is going to affect it on those brembos most wheels you would put on the front are big enough to cover a 14 inch rotor anyway.

That has got to be some of the worst info I have seen in awhile. To the OP, you have a pretty solid plan for your goals and set up. It's almost exactly the same set up I am piecing together right now for my '12. Good luck and nice job.

It would add frame stiffness but it wouldn't work or pass from a safety perspective, nor be as stiff as with the door brace.
