For all the owners with some miles on their 5.0's, any problems that has arisen motor wise? misfires, loss of power etc.?

Any problems with the auto trans or rear end??

 

Damn.. talk about opening up a can of worms. Been out of the loop, but been reading up on cylinder #8/piston failures.. what gives?

Has the issues been resolved and the cause ruled out??

I was looking to get into something reliable and powerful, not more problems!

 

I have 55,000 miles on mine and still as strong as mile 1.

 

I'm at 55k miles as well.
Engine wise, zero issues.
MT82 Transmission, replaced at ~23k miles.
Hood Corrosion issue, Hood stripped, reprepped and repainted at 54k miles.
3.73 Differential whine....had it "addressed" at 54k miles. They put one set in, didn't like it, put another set in and sent it back to me. Loud as F&$* so I took it back. The 4th set of gears is likely going in as we speak.
