Default Pcv valve

I have changed these in the past, but it appears that this valve needs to be twisted to come out. Does anyone know which way that the valve needs to move on new 5.0 motor is set up for this valve to come out.

What makes you think it needs to be changed?

I believe it's a twist off, if memory serves right. Are you attempting the Gt500 PCV valve install?

It's a 1/4 turn left to come out. GT 500 valve is a recommended alternative, all you have to do is cut off the electrical connector and she goes right in. (it's cheap b/c they use the valve on thousands of regular fords, like the econoline van as well).

That's a very good question. I would think a 50-60 k service interval would be about right.
