Barton shifter installation

Barton shifter installation
I just got my Barton shifter today. My 2014 GT has a build date of October 2013. Obviously the stock shifter is still in the car. Looking at the Barton shifter, it says 2013 on the right side and 2011 on the left side. Do I have to rotate the handle before installing it?
