Default brembo mustang brake line upgrade?

I have a 2011 mustang gt with the brembo brakes, stock front pads, hawks in the rear, stock fluid and lines. I have done multiple autocrosses, multiple days driving aggressively in the mountains, and so far the brakes have been perfect, however I'm going to my first track day at a roadcourse in a few weeks and I'm considering upgrading the brake lines to either stainless or boss lines. My question is: how good are the stock brembo lines? And are the boss lines even worth upgrading to?

thanks
Rob

If the stock lines on the GT500 are anything to go by then they are rubber and need to be upgraded if you really plan on putting some heat into them. I went with goodridge stainless lines and I've been running them for nearly 5+ years with no problem.

Stainless cables are great but not necessary. What is necessary is that you have your brake fluid switched with DOT 4 or your fluid will boil over and leave you without brakes on a race track. I have done many track days with the stock lines without any issues. The brembo pads are tough but once they wear down I recommend getting something better when you replace it.

well I went with boss lines and ATE amber fluid, spent 5-6 15 min hard sessions on the roadcourse, and brakes were great, definitely a great bang for your buck mod!
