Default SR Performance short shifter

So I am wanting to upgrade my stock shifter and I am on a limited budget. I know everybody talks about the Barton and MGW but I dont want to spend that much so.....I am wondering if anybody has used the SR performance shifter and their thoughts.
Thanks

I went cheap with a STS and damaged the synchros in my transmission. If I were you I would save up and buy either the MGW, Barton or Steeda.

Save your pennies for the MGW. You'll never regret it.

I bought the SR shifter and a new bracket. It has made a huge difference. It has been on my car for 20K miles now with no issues whatsoever. MGW and Barton would probably be an improvement over SR, but I am more than happy with the way the SR shifter has worked for me. I think that the bracket is key to the improvement. Don't do 1 without the other.
