Tapping into headlight power
Ok, I'll make this brief so you dont get bored.
I'm a firefighter and have several interior lights. All low power LED. I have 2012 GT. I'm looking for directions on how to tap into the ignition power so the lights turn off when I turn off the car.
On my 2003 GT, I tapped into the fog lights. So when I powered off vehicle, and turned lights off, the lights shut off.
any insights?

There are all kinds of power taps in your engine bay fuse/relay center. Some are on all
the time, some are on with ignition. Kind of looks like this:
All those male spade tips, check them for power, car off, and on.
Go to walmart and buy a $20.00 volt meter, and test for ignition voltages
inside the car too. You will have one right at the radio harness, for one.

It plugs into the radio, so directly behind it...
If you have a fuse box inside the car, I am sure you can pick up an ignition
power source there... Just use a volt meter, check fuses with power off,
when you find one that does not have power, put the key in ACCY and RUN
positions and test that fuse again for voltage. The fuses have expose test
points on them, they all do.
