Default shocks/springs??

Hi guys,I have a 2014 gt/cs convertible which has been lowered approx 1 3/4 " in the rear and 1 " in the front . Also did wheels and tires at the same time , keep the 19" height but put 9" wide on the back and front and wider tires .
I put the springs in within the 1st few weeks of getting the car so didnt drive it much with the stock springs in it .
I notice that when I go around any sweeping corners where the road is a little uneven the rear of the car seems to bounce /jump sideways a little bit in the rear ?
Is there an inherent issue being a convertible or should i look deeper into say the shocks etc.
I also bought an adjustable pan hard bar to install.(not done yet)
Any ideas guys , the car is mainly a cruiser so wont see much time on the track.

Cheers guys

Did you change the bump stops or cut off the top "nipple"? When you lower the rear end the stock bump stop will hit the frame rail and you get that bounce and jump from the rear end.

Question Shocks/springs

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your reply mate , I will check that the shop that installed the springs did this.
Is there any particular height they should be Jim ?
If I trim them a bit more is there any other issues that that could cause?

Cheers buddy,
KP

The bump stops have something like 3 ripple like pieces. Just cut the top one off.

Cheers Jim will do.

Just another question do you think the stock shocks are ok or is it worth changing them ?

The stock shocks and struts are set up with the stock ride height. So when you lower the car they tend to wear out faster.
