Default Short throw shifter

This is a long short BUT, I was going to install a Barton short throw shifter today on my 2012 GT but when I pulled the center console off, things didn’t match up. I was under the impression I was using a stock shifter but apparently that wasn’t the case (bought the car used). Below is the picture of my current shifter. There’s no serial number or manufacturer name anywhere on the shifter. If you know what kind of shifter it is or can give me some advice on what to do feel free to. (The screw holes on the Barton don’t line up with this shifter and there is no bracket).

The Barton should be replacing that whole set up from the screws up. You undo those 4 screws remove and replace.

That my friend is an MGW shifter. send the Barton back. go to MGW's website and download the instructions for that shifter if it needs adjusted. I have no experience with Barton but I do have a first run MGW on my 05' GT and LOVE it. They have made many improvements to their shifter over the generations. good luck

send the Barton back.

I have MGW shifters in my '06GT and also my '85 GT. Absolutely the best shifters I have ever used.
