Yeah I have a 1998 GT. I think my lights look the same as the ones in your signature. It's weird because there's slight differences from the ones on the site.

Thanks for the information, I just need to find a mechanic willing to saw part of my car. I might return them after all.

You are just the person I need to talk to. I just bought those same angel eyes and I got the Luminics low and high beams.

I have no idea how to install them, is there any drilling or sawing I have to do? And do you know of any website that has step by step instructions? The last body shop I brought them to wouldn't try to install because the instructions they got from the american muscle website said there was drilling and/or sawing involved.

The product details saw they fit into the stock harnesses with small amounts of wiring to do. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated. .

Also I'm seeing some slight differences in the lights I've been shipped and the one pictured on their website. My lights look the same except they don't have that small clear light in the bottom right of the headlight (if you're looking at the passanger side light) and also I have three circle lights all on top of eachother next to the corner part, whereas in the picture online they're shown as ovals. Do I have the right light, or is it a newer model mustang angel eye? Kinda worrying me.

You do have the correct lights. We have a note on the page that says the item may differ from the photo.

Are you still solely convinced that the H3 are supposed to be the High beams? Unless I got a blotched set, I believe that your information is incorrect. Who is the comany that makes them for AM?
That's the information we got from our manufacturer, so if it's incorrect then it's because they gave us incorrect information.

I will have our purchasing manager contact them to see if any changes have been made.

Seeing as how I am an Electrical Engineer, yes they were professionally installed. They appear to function as they were designed. the low beams(H3) light the lower right side of the an alignment box, thenthe high beams (9005) light up the uper left of the box. They plug directly into the factory lighting harness which is unidirectional. So again obviously designed that way. The problem is that they are just so week in power, the low beams that is. The high beams are ok, not great.

Thank you for your help!
That wasn't what she asked. Electrical engineer does not = automotive expert. That's like saying you are a refrigerator expert too since refrigerators use electricity.

Have you aimed your headlights? Sounds like they are aimed incorrectly as in pointing down way too far not illuminating the road in front of you.

Edited for new information:

According to the manufacturer, the H3 bulbs (the ones on the outside) are the low beams, the 9005 bulbs (on the inside) are the high beams. I do apologize for the confusion; when we started carrying these bulbs, we were given misinformation about the placement of the high and low beams. So, it looks as though you are correct. We will be updating the website accordingly.

However, you absolutely have to have them aimed properly or they will not be lighting the road correctly. Perhaps that is the problem. I know that you're an electrical engineer, and while that is impressive, it is correct that it doesn't make you an auto expert. I'm in no way trying to question your mechanical skills, however I think you may be better suited taking it to a certified mechanic. If there is still a problem at that time, I'll be happy to revisit the issue with you.

Oh okay thank you.. you don't happen to have wiring instructions as well do you? I'm going to try and get an air saw and install the lights myself.

The only thing I'm worried about is what to attach the extra wires to. I printed out the instructions from the AM website.

The extra wires get wired into the parking light so the halo glows when you have your parking lights on.

If I were to do a full write up for AM on theangel eyeinstall do you think I could get a free set of bullet racing pedals or clear fog lights out of the deal?

I can have my headlight aiming instructions verified by a mechanic if that helps.

BTW: I do appreciate the continued support of yourself and AM. I did not mean to sound like a ***** earlier about the install portion. However, I feel that a "mechanic" is highly lessqualified to do this install thanI am.

Apology accepted, though unnecessary

I can talk to my boss about your offer and let you know. Shoot me an email at emilied@americanmuscle.com to remind me, since he's gone for the day already.
