Chip Problem/Question
Hey, I emailed the site, and sent a PM a while back, no answer.........
Anyways, I have an SCT 4 bank chip I bought and I need it retuned, what info do you need and where do I mail it? Also, retuning to for an S/C running 8 PSI shouldn't be an issue should it?
One last question, the cable that plugs into the chip is defective, can I send it back with the chip and get a new one. There is either a short with one of the wires inside the cable, or one is bent causing poor contact because the cable would want to short out the ecu when ever it was touched, and then, finally, it did and I had to fully install the chip. When you feel the cable, about 8-10" down you can feel something wrong with the wires inside. The cable did this since day one and I thought it was normal, however the problem got worse and now it doesn't work.

We should be able to get a replacement cable/switch for you no problem. Either PM me your full name and/or order number from the chip or just give us a call and ask to speak with someone in the SCT department.
As far as re-tuning goes, forced induction applications do require you to take the car and chip to a local tuner to have the tune created on a dynamometer. This is the only way to ensure a proper and safe tune with the correct A/F ratio and to maximize the power output of your configuration.
Thanks,
Nick

There is one problem with that though, there are no local shops that can tune SCT. If I were to go to a dyno, and mail in a print out with the A/F ratio, hp, and torque, could that be enough to get a half decent tune with the chip? I'm not looking for something perfect, anything right now is better than nothing, but as stated, I have no SCT dynos even semi close to me that I'm aware of.

Here is a link to the one I found in in Slidell: http://www.sctflash.com/showdealer.php?ID=1377
Hope this helps!
