Black Retro Billet Grill
I ordered the Black Retro Billet Grill from AM. The shipping was fast and the grill it self is well made, but there are things I dont like about it and am considering taking it off. First of all the mounting hardware sucks, the screws that are provided need washer or the head just goes throught the opening. The clip/nuts were rusted in two weeks. Now the grill does not cover the radiator very well, when you look streight at it you can see right through it. I had to spray paint the radiator black so it does not stand out so much. Next and biggest concern....When driving on the high way at speeds above 70 the grill lets in too much air under the hood. When you look at the stock grill there is only an opening in the middle. The result is that the hood looks like its going to fly open. The left side of it is lifting up and vibrating at an alarming rate. So now what do a do put hood pins on, no I dont want to.. Put the stock grill back on, I guess and Im out of the money I paid for the grill. Now this is nothing against the AM they shipped right out and good service. But the grill is crap in aspect of screwing up the aro dynamics.
I'm really sorry you had such a negative experience with one of our parts. If you send me your order information, I'll see what I can to do to help you out.
What kind of a hood do you have? If you have a stock hood and your latch is working correctly, it should stay firmly seated no matter what kind of grille you have. If you noticed that one corner was lifting and vibrating, it may be a good idea to have a body shop take a look at your hood to make sure it's seated correctly and the latch is not damaged.

I have a stock hood nothing was touched. The hood seems to be seated correctly and no sighn of previous damage. The latch is good. I dont know what to tell you I wonder if anyone elese has notice this before on their vehicle. Its very appearnat that there is just too much air under it under high speeds. Thanks for the reply and Ill try to dig up my order number.
