Default Retro Shift ****

Hello,

On my 2007 Mustang GT I have a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter that has a 12mm x 1.75mm thread pattern for the shifter ****. I would like to purchase a white retro 5 speed shift ****. The 2005+ white retro shift **** has a thread pattern of 12mm x 1.25mm. This won't work, so I would like to purchase the 79-04 white retro ****. The only problem with that is that the 79-04 shift **** does not come with the leather wrap holder piece. I sent an email to the AM service department, and I was told that there would be no problem with this. I would just have to call up and do the order through the phone. Upon calling to place this order, I was told that this cannot happen. Is there a way that I can get the 12mm x 1.75mm shift **** and the leather wrap holder piece?

Thanks,

Andrew

I'm not sure who you were working with originally, since our usual support email guy was out for a few days. I'm checking with the rest of our support email team to figure this out for you. I'm sorry we sent you mixed messages, I'm working to get things straightened out and figure out how we can help you. If you have a copy of the original email you sent and the response you received, that would help things a lot. You can copy and paste them into a pm, or you can forward them to me, my email address is emily[dot]wood[at]americanmuscle[dot]com. Just replace the [dot]s with . and the [at] with @, and you're set.

I forwarded you the email on Tuesday. Have you been able to locate the one that was sent to me around the 08/02-08/03 time frame?

Hey Andrew, I did get your email. Thanks for forwarding it to me. I sent you a pm, but in case you check here before your inbox, I wanted to let you know we don't keep our responses on file for more than a few weeks so I can't check to see what our response was or who worked with your originally. I don't want to leave you hanging, though, so once the 79-04 shift **** is in stock, I will get everything taken care of for you. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm always happy to help.

Emily,

I called to order the 79-04 shift **** and the leather wrap holder piece since the parts are now in stock, and I was told that it would not possible. Actually I was told it would be possible if I bought both the 79-04 **** and the 05+ ****, which is insulting to think that I would waste my money like that. I even directed the customer service guy to the forums to see this thread, and he was still unable to assist me with this issue. He said he would need confirmation from you that this would be okay.

It's upsetting to me that this is happening since I have ordered several parts (springs, mirror covers, antenna, cold air intake, SCT tuner, etc.) from American Muscle over the past few years with excellent service. Right now, I'm annoyed from all the flip-flopping that I am seeing from American Muscle. Please give me a definitive answer one way or the other. I don't really care which at this point.

-Andrew

Emily,

Thank you for calling me back and getting this issue worked out. You were very pleasant to talk to on the phone. Faith has definitely been restored, and I will continue to purchase from you for my mustang needs.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi, Andrew! I'm glad I could help sort things out for you, and I really appreciate your patience. I set up a system for me to work with the customer service team better so that when there's a special situation like this one, everybody's in the loop. I set your order for the **** up, it's already been shipped out. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns in the future, I'm always happy to help!
