Disappointing...
have ordered only a few things from AM and I've had issues with a few of the items.
My Rims for my 03 started getting oxidation on every single one of them a year into having them. That upset me for the amount of money I spent on them.
but someone helped me with the warranty and to get them replaced. I was still not happy having to deal with that though and It ended up costing me 100$ to put my old tires onto the new ones. Then what pissed me off more was that my original mustang cap logo no longer fit into the center cap of these new replacement ones. I had to use the ugly SR cap...
I also ordered a billet e-brake handle. It did not fit properly. I tried tapping it on to secure it but it all it did was rub into the plastic where it was set because it had to be forced in because the button struck it each time.
Then I order a couple of items last week for my new 2011 5.0 mustang. The screw caps don't even fit on the screw. It has a plastic insert that is suppose to fit into the cap and snug it onto the screw head. but it just falls off can't even stick. lol Then I start reading comments on the description and see others had the same issue. DO you guys not address these issues???? I'm severely disappointed in the quality of AM products and how you guys do not address these known issues. If you change a product let the consumer know that it comes with different parts such as my center caps to my rim replacements.

i agree with all the replies...things happen all the time man, it's life, nobody is perfect...it's what they do AFTER the fact to resolve the situation...if you gave them a call and nothing was done (which i highly doubt would happen) then i can understand you ranting online...but don't just run to a forum when you haven't even given them a chance to make right

I'm sorry about your previous experiences with AM! I'd like to work with you to get things squared away and change your opinion about us. There's just a few things I have questions on.
First, it's weird you were able to use your stock center caps on the wheels you bought 1 yr ago. We actually changed the center cap fitment probably about 5yrs ago. This was changed due to patient reasons. Now there have been a few people who made the stock center cap work, but it's not quite as snug of a fit than our AM center caps.
Screw caps- what exactly were you referring to? For some reason this is slipping my mind and the link you gave doesn't work. Could you send another? Either way, if the product doesn't work, I'll be happy to setup a return or an exchange for you asap!
We do try to eliminate any problem parts, but sometimes a few slip through the cracks. However, we're always willing to work with any customer to make things right and prevent any issues in the future. Give me one of your previous order numbers and I'll be happy to setup a return for both of these items. Not to mentioned I will red flag them for my Products Team and figure out what the issue is!
I hope this helps the way you view AM! We've worked really hard to be the type of vendor our customers can trust when things turn south. We're all Mustang enthusiasts here and have been in all types of situations purchasing products. That's what helps us grow to be a better company and understand what you guys are looking for out of us because we've felt the same way!

First off to the others I am not ranting. I am telling others about my experience with AM and the products I have gotten. Now the purchases for my 03 were a couple years apart from what I ordered for my 2011. I never ever said anything bad about this company until now because I thought maybe it was just my luck or I did something wrong. Therefor considering I am saying something now is far from a rant.
And no I haven't tried calling their support because I hate dealing with support. I buy a product and I shouldn't have to call support each and every time I have an issue. It takes me 5 minutes to write a review and express my thoughts online then then the 5-20 minutes I will wait on hold and to not get anything solved. Thats time I don't have or want to waste. To get multiple products with faults years apart is not acceptable in my opinion. I have given them multiple chances by buying different products and you know how much of a pain in the *** it is to get rims replaced per warranty and have to waste time and money to get the tires put back on, re packaged, cleaned to send back, time to fill out warranty, get it approved. The guy that worked with me on this was excellent though.
Now that was a rant.

-thats the license plate I purchased and the caps that go over the screws don't fit them. This allows a smooth look, not necessary but gives a good look and won't show the rust of the screws when they begin to rust.
The rim caps according the guy had just changed within the year and that I couldn't even buy the mustang ones to fit the new caps. The year I got the rims before activating the warranty they went right in snug.
I just want you guys to know how I feel and the issues I have delt with when obtaining products from you guys the past few years. I think you guys sell a lot of great products that I want to mod my car out with but don't want to take the chance of getting another bad product.

Oh okay, sorry I didn't catch that at first. There's a good chance you just got a defective plate. I looked at the reviews and didn't see anyone mentioning the same issue, or at least it's not very common. Plus, as you see there are a bunch of customer submitted photos that all have the caps installed as well. I'm not saying you didn't have this problem, but simply you could have had defective caps. If you're interested, I can setup a return for you and get you a brand new frame&caps asap!
Rims- I'm not sure who you spoke with, but I'm very confident we changed the center caps quite a while back. I actually bought some 03-04 Chrome Cobra wheels for my own Mustang about 4yrs ago and wasn't able to run factory center caps either. Instead I went with the regular AM's, which I didn't really mind. I completely understand how you're frustrated with the different look though, if you would like, I can hook you up with some plain black center caps that will fit perfectly! Let me know if you're interested in these as well.
I do understand you're very frustrated with your overall experiences and I don't blame you one bit! It does sound like you went through some really frustrating events, but I want you to know this is not normal for us and we're always looking to make things right. So, if you want to exchange the license plate frame and/or have me send you some black center caps, I will be more than happy to! I want to keep you as a loyal customer and show you we're not out to just make a quick buck. Sometimes problems with products will happen, just like any business, but I can promise we'll always try to make things right again!
