Brakes fading...

Default Brakes fading...

I had to brake hard from ~80mph and noticed how the stock brakes were noticeably fading... Its disappointing...

Yes, is this normal? How can I mitigate it? Would different pads help?

i upgraded to high performance pads and it made a ton of difference..

Thats actually pretty surprising that they would fade with a single stop. Multiple stops in a row...yes. At any rate, upgraded pads are the cure. Several choices, Hawk HPS is one.

It was a single stop, but "panic" kind... At the end it felt like I had to apply much more pressure to keep the deceleration constant...

34k miles, possible pads are about done. Check thickness of the pads lately?

What does thickness has to do with it? They are about 30% left...

thinner, the less heat it can take, to a certain extent.
