auto trans questions
#11
Thanks for the info about the auto tuning
I will definetely give you guys a call once I am ready to start modding and tuning!
One more question about shift points...
is it safe to ring these motors out to 7500 rpm on the auto trans, say with a BOSS 302 intake manifold?? I never owned a motor that revved so high (especially a DOHC V8)
I plan on dragging it quite a lot during the summer, but winter it'll be slow as a snail due to our massive winters so it'll give my car a much needed rest..

Sounds good! The Bama guys are in the building 9-9pm Monday-Friday and 9-4pm on Saturdays.
If you're using the Boss Intake manifold, 7500 rpm won't be an issue. However, you'll probably want to shift closer to 7300, since peak power is going to be around 7000.
