all in all its opinion Vs opinion, I have use more companies out there then most people that jstu do this for the hobby. you like RE and thats great , personaly I like ED for their customer service, warranty, SQ and and SQL , and great pricing. their Deadner is awesome, the amps are better then I ever expected. I could biuld a complete ED syste, for the price of a sinlgle XXX and be happier with it. Personaly My favorite sub of time is the IDMAX and MSX Promax.... thats my opinion, now lets give this guy his thread back

Eu700's are subs and can be used for midbass there universal not a special type or anything as for the guy trashing the warranty: uhh yea i think a 3 year transferable warranty is terrible /sarcasm there customer service is unbeatable and there awesome but w/e if u guys just wanna be all mainstream and like OMG DUDE MY JLS ARE SOO LOUDDD MAN then w/e lol its your choice but i know from expieriance that these subs are amazing and thats all my input and im not here to argue with anyone or anything im just saying that you cant really call them crappy or w/e unless you have had personal expierience with them and have heard them

Im trying to keep the cost low here, and Im really just looking for GOOD sound, not neccesarily the absolute best.
I dont have alot of experience with subs and amps. But in a general sence, what would weigh less, a single amp and 8", or 2 6.5"s and 2 amps to go with it?
Is there a huge difference between the two, so much that they arent even comparable?

Thanks

that directed amp prolly wiehgs 10lbs and those 6.5s are about 4lbs each..... you wouldnt only need that one directed amplifier to power both 6.5's and they will deffinetly sound better then the RE 8s trust me , i own both of them

Ya go ahead and find more, cause i can tell you that RE screwed me royally when my SX18 blew up, said that 1500 was to much for daily use even though their "manager" guy David Moore told me on the phone that it would an awesome set up.... so its personal prefrence, I beat the **** out of my ED subs and their great.....
