Default Sub + Amp issue

When I'm in my car and have the bass cranked up loud. When I'm sitting completely idle, the thing thumps and pounds. When I start moving, even at 5mph, the sub drops almost completely off and it's just the internal speakers providing the bass. Even if I'm just coasting down the road doing 50mph in neutral or start braking in while in neutral, it still doesn't hit. When I come to a COMPLETE stop, it starts hitting again. Anyone know what it could be?

nah. not a fuse. don't see how a loose wire would do it. if it were that, wouldn't it be cutting out randomly? not every time i started moving? GRRRRRRRRRR [:@]

Well, I had a loose wire running to my sub once, and it would do that. Do the amps stay on when your moving?

Just a question, is your foot on the brake pedal when the bass is pounding? Maybe you wired your remote turn on to your brake light line? Just a way out there question but hey, I have seen more odd things happen.

The only time I have ever heard of an issue like this, it was related to the remote turn on wire. We wired an amp to a factory radio, and tapped the remote wire in the fuse box. The terminal we tapped, was related to the cruis control and would have +12v switched on it, until it hit 45 miles an hour and then it went to ground and shut the amp off. We thought the customer was nuts until we went for a drive with him and saw it for ourselves.

where did you get your remote turn on from?

have someone watch the power light on the amp when its on and when its off. Start there. If the power light goes off when your driving then you will know if its power related or not. Do that and get back to us and we can help you better. Just a note that the power light wont turn off instantly. It may take 5 -10 seconds.
