I used to own a 2000 six cyl and I took y mustang into car Audio Expressions in Fort Walton beach FL. They did an awesome job so I figured I would let you know what they did. They left the interior speakers alone and added MBQUART tweeters to the existing system, if your interior speakers work well leave them there for your mids install the head unit of your choice. I personally like the eclipse head units for the mustang. Wire it around your existing amp (this might cost a little bit more) Dynomat dynomat dynomat your trunk and add two 10" bazooka tube self amplified subs you will never have a clearer sounding stereo in your mustang and the best thing about it is you can barely hear it from outside the vehicle until you open the windows or pop the trunk if you go with just one bazooka tube you will still have a functional trunk two might make your trunk a little too small to really use having all this installed ended up costinng me about 2000 but the sound that came from my stang was amazing. Boxes are nice but the bass tubes put out more BASS![:-]

Rock I am not smoking rock how many twelves can you fit in a mustang's trunk? Cause I have seen a four twelve inch bass tubes self amplified barely take up the trunk pound just as hard any friggen twelve I've seen and wiring was easy and hidden. How uch you gonna spend on that one twelve inch and that amp to run it? 10 inch bazooka tube self amped from a reputible dealer will run you about $300 so unless you are getting something used yer not going to beat that price. And the bazooka tubes resonate more kepping away from that horrible pounding sound you hear coming from peoples trunk...straight CLEAN bass not license plate rattling BS.

 

well you must be one of those people who likes Legacy and PYle, cause those brands kick ***. personally I could fit 6-812's with some creativness, dowel rods,baffle rings,glue gun, lots of fiberglass and some felt... wont see a damn wire and thats with two passes of 0ga....walmart here in chatanooga sells bazooka tubes for 94 dollars and 120 for a 10' for 300 bucks there are SO MANY OPTIONS OUT that will put zooka in the ground...hell i have a 50dollar RE 8' here that would prolly drop ur **** with power from the HU. if ur not rock then there must be worse drugs out there

 

My one 15" Mojo for $330 would demolish not 1 not 2 not 7 not 10 but around 5,000 bazooka tubes...

 

EXACTLY..... My one mtx 4500 15' that is in 7cubes under my bed with a plate amp pushing 250watts would eat those things alive.. the thing i like the most, stupidity is amussing.. BADzooka haha

 

You guys are all correct the BASS put out by your one speaker is great bet you shake the hell out of your license plates too way to go noobs. the only one that had any shread of intelligence about speakers was bigmack however he thinks he s going to fit 6-812" speakers in a mustang or was that just a typo and sure if you get a custom box yer in business but yer still gonna lose your trunk and yer 250 watt 15" mtx propably sounds pretty good but it is not going to over power two 300 watt 10" bazooka's I'm sorry it's not going to happen. The crap you guys buy from wallmart is not the best "badzooka" yer going to be able to find. You'll find that less is more unless you are one of those guys that would rather everyone around you hear your music better than you. BASS BASS BASS I know a little about bass however your friggen single speaker monoblock set-ups are prolly pretty cool and work as far as getting you noticed but how many of you lose your high and mids when you do it? I have three vehicle's an Envoy who's setup would put any of your stangs to shame, a neon sporting two 300 watt bazooka's an eclipse head unit, mbquart tweeters and JL interior's, and my new/old 89 mustang which I haven't been around to play with yet my old 99 svt contour had 3 12 inch ground zero's fosgate mono blocks six pack caps sony head four screens and enough Bass to blow your windows out I simply started this thread to let people know that for about $2000 bucks you can have much more superior sound than most kids that SHOP AT WALMART!

 

Well Lets make a little wager... Go to a show, meter your two Badzooka tubes on the new TL,outlaw ofcourse.... Video tape it, prove its legit by going to an actual car show.... let me know what you score. I will do the same but with a single 12' mtx 4500 with only 250rms.... and when I win... well If you when I'll hook you up with another zooka tube, and then again thats not gunna happen...

 

Yer still talking about BASS, when are you going to add real speakers to your system?
Yeah you'll prolly drop my zooka's but doesn't say alot you can't barely hear my system from outside the vehicle the sign of a good install and a great system so keep parking lot pimpin with your heavy bass 12" mtx while I run around in a dodge with a better sounding stereo
